Enjoyed the podcast & looking forward to more of them.
I’d like to suggest two TV-movies for future discussion. One is TRIBES (1970), starring Darren McGavin as a Marine D.I. and Jan-Michael Vincent as a hippie draftee. I saw it when it first aired and, catching it again recently, was happy to see it still holds up admirably. The other is THE NORLISS TAPES (1973), directed by Dan Curtis, starring Roy Thinnes as an investigative reporter, and with a plot about an artist who comes back from the dead as a vampire-like killer. No doubt it got made due to the success of THE NIGHT STALKER from the previous year, but it was hardly a hasty knockoff, having creepy atmosphere to spare.
BTW, I’m not entirely sure, but I think Jo Ann Pflug pronounces her last name as “Floog”; this based on my fuzzy memories of her appearances on various game shows back in the 1970s.
Now to track down DARK NIGHT OF THE SCARECROW. Thanks!
