Up Next: We are snowbound with Snowbeast and Snowblind!

The holidays may be coming to a close, but I can’t let go of this winter wonderland (well, in Texas it’s more like a soggy desertland, but still… gray cloud gloom is not so bad). So, we’re holding on to the season and watching two snow-set genre films: Snowbeast (1977) and Ski Lift to Death (aka Snowblind, 1978)!

As luck would have it, both films are streaming on Amazon Prime:

Snowbeast
Snowblind

Please beware of the quality of Snowblind. That’s some crap transfer… I mean, it’s horrid. But I’ve been wanting to watch something called Ski Lift to Death for some time now, so I’ll suck it up and hope for the best.

Also, for extra credit, I saw that the 2011 SyFy remake, Snow Beast is also up at Amazon. Give it a go… I’m hoping to squeeze it in. Drop us a line and let us know what you think of these snowbound thrillers! We’re not sure when we’re recording, but it will most likely be somewhere in the middle of January.

And again, heartfelt apologies on the male stripper episode. I’m hoping to have it online before we release this one. There was some time and editing issues, which I’m still working through. Thanks for your patience and for hanging out with us. We love you!

Episode 29: A Little Game… followed by a little game

LittleGame
Well, it’s that time of year again! And does anything say holidays like a kid with a shotgun… I thought so…

We welcome back Christmas television expert Joanna Wilson to discuss the 1971 (maybe) holiday thriller A Little Game, and then we play a little game ourselves. We had a great time recording (even though there was a crapload of technical issues), and we hope you enjoy listening! Thank you for making 2017 an incredible year for the gang at the Made for TV Mayhem Show and Happy Holidays!

We’re also super excited about next month’s episode, where we’ll keep it all snowy and winter fresh with Snowbeast (hooray!) and the awesomely titled Ski Lift to Death! You can watch Ski Lift under it’s aka Snowblind on Amazon Prime, but please be aware of the absolutely horrid quality of the transfer! But you know, if you can watch along and send feedback, we’ll be your best friends!

Up Next: It’s Time for the Annual Holiday Show!

Screen Shot 2017-12-07 at 4.56.18 PM

Well, first an announcement: The male stripper episode might not be available until January 2018! So sorry for the delay, but my schedule is such that I just haven’t had time to edit the darn thing properly.

Alas, Christmas is knocking on the door, and I want to get a holiday episode up and running before the big day. So, we’re doing something a little different and a little the same this year. First of all, we’re welcoming back our BFF Joanna Wilson of Christmas TV History! We love Joanna, and are so excited that she’s going to be hosting another one of our TV movie games! And, then we’re going to discuss the 1971 tele-thriller A Little Game, which is Christmas set, but isn’t necessarily a holiday film. We chose this one because it came up during our Halloween episode and because I recently reviewed it for the upcoming book Yuletide Terror. It’s been on the brain folks, so let’s get it out there. It’s such an underrated gem. Plus, it stars Diane Baker and Ed Nelson. So. Good.

We’d love to hear from you, either about the TVM we’re discussing, or anything else you’d like to talk about. Reach us through one of our many contact options. We’re recording December 13th, so we’ll need to hear from you by the 12th. C’mon. We love you. Say hello!
